Description

The Hawk Performance HB183F.585 are rear brake pads engineered for street performance, designed to significantly enhance your vehicle's braking system. Utilizing a unique Ferro-Carbon formula, these pads offer a higher coefficient of friction compared to OEM pads, potentially providing 20-40% more stopping power and improved resistance to brake fade. This translates to more reliable and responsive braking, especially during spirited driving. The HPS (High Performance Street) compound is characterized by its smooth braking feel, consistent release, and gentle impact on rotors, which helps extend pad life. The operating temperature range for these pads is 100-700°F, with an optimal performance window between 100-500°F. Proper installation and bed-in procedures are recommended to maximize performance and longevity. While these pads produce less dust than some performance compounds, they will generate more dust than Hawk Ceramic pads.
