HQ Series Air Suspension System with 4-Link

The Ridetech 11020298 HQ Air Suspension System is engineered to achieve an ultra-low show stance while maintaining excellent ride quality and handling for 1955-1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, Two-Ten, and One-Fifty models featuring a one-piece frame. This comprehensive kit includes front upper and lower StrongArms with corrected ball joint angles and powder coating, a front sway bar with billet aluminum frame straps, a bolt-on rear 4-Link system for improved traction and handling, and four HQ Series Shockwaves. The HQ Shockwaves feature an impact-forged aluminum body, a monotube design, and an externally adjustable rebound knob for fine-tuning. The R-Joint rod ends are utilized for their low-friction movement, lateral stability, and quiet operation. Specific measurements for the rear ShockWaves are: Compressed - 10.75 inches, Ride Height - 12.75 inches, Extended - 14.25 inches, with a 4-inch diameter and a load capacity of 780lbs at 100psi. Front ShockWaves measure from center of bearing to center of bearing: Compressed: 11.00 inches, Ride Height: 13.10 inches, Extended: 14.50 inches. This system is specifically designed for vehicles with a one-piece frame, identifiable by a flat and smooth bottom frame rail under the driver's door area, often referred to as the "California frame." It is not compatible with Wagon models using the stock fuel tank or vehicles equipped with a Ford 9-inch rear end, as the lowered pinion angle will interfere with the diagonal link. Installation requires the purchase of a separate compressor system, as the control system is not included. Minimal welding to the axle tube is needed for the rear 4-Link installation.
