The LEWMAR HTX Traveller Range is designed to complement the HTX Block Range, drawing from extensive design and manufacturing experience in collaboration with boat builders, designers, and sailors. The core of this range is the Captive Ball Traveller, which features a neat and stylish retention system for the ball bearings within the car. This design simplifies installation and allows for easy removal for cleaning and maintenance without the risk of losing ball bearings. It is ideal for boats up to 15 meters (49 feet) in length. The car body has a minimalistic design with fewer parts, a compact one-piece aluminum body, and composite end caps with smoother lines. It is available in multiple configurations, including single or double control line sheaves, becket, and cam cleat. The system is also compatible with a slide-rod Genoa car with stirrup. It features three individual ball races: two for fast movement under vertical load and a third for smooth running under deflection. Larger balls increase overall efficiency, and ball bearings circulate through an open structure for easy cleaning. A new dowel mechanism ensures smooth ball circulation, and an upstand receives shackle or lashed rope, eliminating the need for a becket above the control line sheaves.
