The Vetus ALU25C is a rectangular aluminium hull anode designed for cathodic protection. It is made from an aluminium-indium-zinc alloy compliant with Mil-A-24779 (SH) specifications. This anode is recommended for vessels that primarily cruise in inland, fresh waters, as its material has a greater potential difference with other metals compared to zinc in fresh water's higher electrical resistance.

All Vetus anodes are streamlined for efficient mounting. They can be attached using specially made studs for steel hulls or special through-hull bolts for fibreglass and wooden boats. These mounting components are supplied separately, and the specific hull material must be specified when ordering. The product is supplied excluding a connection kit, with Type 25 requiring one kit.
