The Khaos Motorsports HV3 is an intake plenum insert designed to increase horsepower and torque. It replaces the factory plastic runners in the upper intake manifold.

The Khaos Motorsports HV3 High Velocity Intake Plenum Insert is engineered to replace the factory plastic runners within the upper intake manifold of naturally aspirated 3.8L 3800 Series II L36 engines equipped with a black plastic upper intake plenum. The design features slightly longer runners compared to previous versions to enhance both low-end and high-end power delivery. Installation is described as straightforward, typically taking less than 30 minutes, and does not require special bolts or RTV sealant as the insert sits entirely within the factory upper intake. Included with the HV3 is a modified upper intake gasket, which is essential for proper sealing and can also improve overall engine reliability by replacing a potentially worn component. The product is specifically designed for FWD L36 naturally aspirated engines and does not work on supercharged GTP or L67 engines, nor F-body applications. It fits most OEM factory GM upper intake plenums and many aftermarket ones, but may not fit certain Dorman intakes. A separate version is available for L26 3800 Series III engines with aluminum upper intake plenums.
