HWC 3500 12V W/ 042 CW

The HWC 3500 series is designed for automatic horizontal handling of chain-only anchor rodes, while also providing an independent capstan for retrieving a secondary rope and/or chain rode, or for assisting with docking procedures. It permits the use of traditional shackle and thimble rope and chain connections. All components are above-deck, preventing intrusion into the anchor locker. The above-deck components are manufactured from marine-grade stainless steel (AISI 316) and chromed bronze for long-term durability, with a high-quality finish. The windlass features a cone-type brake/clutch mechanism that allows for manual 'free fall' anchoring. Unlike dog clutches, cone clutches provide smooth, progressive engagement, ensuring safe operator control. A chainwheel locking pawl is included to assist when using the warping drum independently. The unit incorporates an anodized aluminum gearbox and a heavy-duty, dual-direction Cima motor specifically designed for marine winches. The HWC 3500 is easily disassembled for servicing.
