The Integrated Engineering TS-20TL-ST2 Hybrid Turbocharger is engineered to overcome the airflow limitations of the factory turbo, delivering a substantial performance increase for longitudinal 2.0T engines. Featuring a dual ceramic ball bearing center section, this turbo ensures virtually indestructible reliability. The unit incorporates a billet 49/60 mm compressor wheel for optimal efficiency and flow, paired with a 53/50 mm high-flow turbine wheel designed to reduce back pressure and enhance top-end power. The compressor and turbine housings are precision-machined based on the IS38 design and offer a direct bolt-on fit. For optimal performance and safe operation, the iE B9 A4 / A5 Hybrid Turbo requires specific supporting modifications. These include an iE Apex Tier, Stage 3 Map Pack, and a Stage 3 TCU Tune. Additionally, hardware upgrades such as a high-flow intake, intercooler, 5 Bar Map Sensors, and a VW Golf R injector upgrade are necessary. When installed with these required components and tuning, the turbo is capable of producing up to 424 horsepower and 424 ft-lbs of torque. Compatibility is specifically for the 2017-2020 Audi A4, A5, and Q5 models with the 2.0T AWD drivetrain. The product page explicitly states that it may not be fully compatible with Longitudinal EA888.3B FWD “Ultra” Models, and Integrated Engineering does not provide software support for such applications if purchased for this purpose.
