The XMan Turbos GT1856BB is a hybrid turbocharger engineered for performance enthusiasts seeking enhanced power from their 1.9TDI engines. This unit incorporates advanced ball bearing technology for improved spool times and durability, ensuring a more responsive and reliable performance upgrade. The turbo is equipped with a large VNT20 compressor wheel, featuring a 43mm outer diameter and a 45mm lip, designed to efficiently handle increased air intake demands. Complementing the compressor is a GT18 turbine wheel, measuring 56mm and styled after the GTX series, optimized for exhaust gas flow. This combination allows the turbocharger to support a significant power increase, with ratings from 200 to 250 bhp. The turbo is capable of handling boost pressures up to 2.2 bar, making it suitable for significant performance tuning when paired with appropriate supporting modifications.
