This turbo is blueprinted to motorsport standards and includes a 1.2 bar actuator as standard.

The Turbo Dynamics MDX555-400 is a hybrid turbocharger engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for all single scroll Subaru Impreza models. This unit supersedes the previous MD555 model, now incorporating an upgraded billet compressor wheel. This advanced wheel design offers enhanced strength, lighter weight, and improved airflow, contributing to quicker spool times, reduced turbo lag, and better overall engine response. The turbocharger utilizes a Garrett Ballistic Concepts dual ball bearing CHRA for superior durability and performance. It features a specially designed turbine housing that replicates the tolerances of original IHI housings while improving airflow for quicker spool and enhanced power figures. The compressor cover includes a 58mm inlet to fit the OE Subaru intake pipe. The MDX555-400 is fully blueprinted to motorsport standards and comes equipped with a 1.2 bar actuator as standard. The recommended maximum boost level is between 28-30 PSI. This turbocharger is capable of an estimated power output of 400bhp, however, achieving these figures requires precise engine management settings and potentially supporting modifications. Customers are advised to consult with Turbo Dynamics' technical team if they wish to discuss specific requirements before purchase. An oil restrictor may also be necessary on applications running high oil pressure (over 2 bar at idle when warm), with part number 901780-0401R0.04 available if needed.
