Hydra 7.3L Powerstroke Tuning Device

The PHP Hydra chip is a programmable performance module designed for 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engines and 1994-1997 Navistar-equipped International vehicles with a firewall-mounted PCM. This tuning device offers 17 positions, providing the flexibility to load custom calibrations for towing, fuel economy, and increased power output. Featuring on-the-fly switching, the device includes a removable two-digit display switch that allows users to change performance levels without turning off the engine. Installation requires mounting the chip directly into the factory PCM without permanent vehicle modifications, allowing for an easy return to stock settings. The system is managed through the manufacturer's HydraFlash software, which is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems and supports remote tune loading via a USB connection. Important fitment note: This product is not compatible with Navistar vehicles that feature a PCM mounted on the side of the engine; those models require the manufacturer's Orion Reflash System instead. Additionally, this item cannot be shipped to California due to CARB regulations. Please note that the unit does not come pre-programmed, requiring the end-user or installer to select and load appropriate tunes via the HydraFlash software.
