Overview

The Power Hungry Performance Hydra Chip is a plug-in performance module for 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Power Stroke engines and 1994-1997 Navistar-equipped International vehicles. It features 17 tune positions, including built-in module bypass and no-start modes, and supports on-the-fly switching without requiring an engine restart. The unit ships untuned and requires users to download calibrations using the free Hydra Flash software on a Windows or Mac computer.

This performance chip works with stock injectors out of the box, while vehicles with larger-than-stock injectors require the Titan Unlock add-on to access the appropriate calibration library. The kit includes the chip, a two-digit display switch, and necessary cabling for installation and in-truck programming.

The Power Hungry Performance Hydra Chip is an advanced plug-in performance programmer designed for 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Power Stroke trucks and 1994-1997 Navistar-equipped International vehicles with a firewall-mounted PCM. This module offers 17 selectable positions, including dedicated modes for module bypass and no-start security, with the convenience of on-the-fly switching that allows drivers to change performance levels without restarting the engine. The system is fully compatible with PATS-equipped vehicles. Users receive free access to a extensive library of standard calibrations via the included Hydra Flash software, which is compatible with Windows and Mac. While the chip supports stock trucks immediately, those running larger-than-stock injectors must purchase the Titan Unlock add-on. Note that Stage 2 injector support is not available, and Titan Unlock tunes are locked to the specific serial number of the unit. Installation requires a Windows or Mac PC to load desired programs onto the chip via the provided USB cable. The package includes a two-digit removable display switch for interior mounting, a 3-foot ribbon cable, a remote tuning cable for in-truck updates, and an installation guide. Shipping to California or Colorado is restricted for this electrical component.
