Description

This package includes a 90-degree mini-USB cable equipped with a mountable bracket, alongside a USB type B extension cable. Its primary function is to enable the user to leave the USB connection installed on the Hydra Chip while it remains in the vehicle. This setup is crucial for interfacing with Power Hungry Performance's HydraFlash software, which runs on a Windows computer. The 90-degree angle of the mini-USB cable is specifically chosen for compatibility within the tight confines of the PCM case, preventing potential damage to the Hydra Chip. While any mini-USB cable can technically work with the Hydra Chip, and any 90-degree version can be left installed, this kit offers a structured and convenient solution for cable management. It is critical to avoid using a straight USB cord permanently installed on the Hydra Chip. The PCM case lacks sufficient space to accommodate anything other than a 90-degree cable, and attempting to install a straight cable may result in damage to the Hydra Chip.
