This Howards Cams CL122521-15 BBC Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft and Lifter Kit fits 396-502 cubic inch Mark IV Big Block Chevy engines from 1965-1996. Howards designed this cam for street/strip use, and it is excellent in performance & marine applications with a fair idle. A 9.5:1+ compression ratio, lower rear end gears and a 2000+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended. Stock (O.E.) valve springs can NOT be used. Howards Cams designed this Flat Tappet Hydraulic camshaft for high performance on the street and on the drag strip. Howards Hydraulic Cams – From mild to wild, they are the ultimate in performance!
