The Howards Cams 128041-09 Big Mama Rattler camshaft is a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft engineered for 396-502 cubic inch Mark IV Big Block Chevy engines manufactured between 1965 and 1996. This camshaft features specific performance parameters, including an intake lift of 0.553 inches and an exhaust lift of 0.545 inches. The duration at 0.050 inch lift is 235 degrees for the intake and 243 degrees for the exhaust. It is optimized for an RPM range of 2000-5900. To achieve optimal performance and ensure proper operation, this camshaft requires a minimum compression ratio of 9.0:1 and a torque converter with a stall speed of 2400 RPM or higher. The product is 100% Rockwell checked and Parkerized for quality control.
