The Crane Cams 253941 H-272-2 is a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft engineered for Chevrolet 2.8-3.1L V6 engines manufactured between 1980 and 1994. The recommended operating range for this camshaft is between 1800 and 5400 RPM, with valve float occurring at 6000 RPM. Increased compression ratio and gearing are advised for optimal performance. Key specifications include an advertised intake duration of 272 degrees and exhaust duration of 284 degrees. At 0.050 inches lift, the intake duration is 216 degrees and the exhaust duration is 228 degrees. The intake lift is .454 inches, and the exhaust lift is .480 inches. The lobe separation for the intake is 112 degrees and for the exhaust is 117 degrees. Spring requirements include part number 99848, with closed load of 114 LBS at 1.700 inches and open load of 318 LBS at 1.240 inches. A rocker arm ratio of 1.5 is specified.
