The Brian Tooley Racing 400+ NA Camshaft V2 is engineered for naturally aspirated Gen III/Gen IV LS engines, specifically for 402-427 cubic inch displacements. Developed in-house with BTR-designed lobes, this camshaft is suitable for a broad operating range of 3500-7000 RPM. Its specifications include 236 degrees of intake duration and 25X degrees of exhaust duration at 0.050 lift, with a 0.636-inch lift on both intake and exhaust valves, and a 114 LSA. The camshaft features 18.5 degrees of overlap, contributing to an aggressive idle sound while remaining manageable for long-distance driving. This camshaft is optimized for various cylinder head configurations, including Square and Cathedral Port heads, and pairs well with intake manifolds such as FAST or Victor Jr. style. It also demonstrates versatility, being compatible with centrifugal superchargers like the YSi, F1R, or F1X, and can support 250-300 horsepower worth of nitrous. The design prioritizes valve train stability and durability, with lobes Spintron tested to meet strict standards. For optimal performance and longevity, this camshaft exclusively requires 1.7 ratio rocker arms and BTR's .660" Lift Platinum spring kit with titanium retainers and hardened pushrods. Automatic transmission applications will benefit from an aftermarket stall converter.
