The Elgin E-1232-P is a hydraulic roller camshaft engineered for performance, offering an upgrade for street and street/strip applications. It features a 288/284 advertised duration and 210/215 duration at 0.050 lift, with a valve lift of .462/.470 inches and a 110-degree lobe separation. This camshaft is designed to provide improved power and torque, with an operating RPM range of 1500-5200. Constructed from premium ductile iron, this camshaft is built for durability and reliable valve timing. This performance camshaft is a retro-fit hydraulic roller, suitable for use in early blocks with a standard hydraulic cam. It is compatible with a wide range of Chevrolet SB engines from 1955 to 1998, including displacements from 262 to 400 cubic inches. It is also listed as compatible with various Buick, Cadillac, and GMC engines within specific year ranges.
