The Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shock absorber is an OE-style replacement designed to provide a comfortable and compliant ride, particularly for vehicles that primarily operate on the street. Unlike many performance shocks that utilize nitrogen charging, the Hydro 7000 is hydraulically dampened, offering a softer feel. Despite its comfort-oriented design, it delivers outstanding performance suitable for various applications. Constructed with a premium steel body and a twin-tube internal design, this shock absorber is built for durability. It features an oversized piston head and a robust 14mm piston rod, ensuring adequate damping. The multi-stage, velocity-sensitive valving allows the shock to adapt its damping characteristics infinitely based on changing driving conditions. The exterior is finished with a corrosion-resistant white paint, and a red polyurethane dust boot is included to protect the shock shaft from contaminants and pitting. Installation is straightforward, utilizing factory mounting locations with a simple bolt-on procedure that requires no cutting, drilling, or modifications. However, it is crucial to mount the shock body-down to prevent potential binding and ensure optimal performance. The shock absorber is proudly made in the USA and comes with a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing and workmanship defects. It is important to note that the limited lifetime warranty does not cover products subjected to abuse, neglect, accident, fire, improper installation or adjustment, corrosion, modifications outside of specifications, use in unintended applications, or competition/racing activities. The warranty also excludes polyurethane components, product finish, and damage from normal wear and use.
