Description

The McMurdo Hydrostatic Release Unit is a compact device designed for Category 1 EPIRBs. It utilizes a small pyrotechnic charge to automatically release the EPIRB when submerged in water less than 13 feet deep.

This unit complies with the latest SOLAS and IMO resolutions and has a service life of two years. It is classified as non-hazardous and fits the footprint of existing HRUs.
