The Injen Hydroshield is designed to enhance the efficiency of compatible air filters, including Injen's SuperNano-Web and 8-Layer oiled cotton gauze models. Constructed from a proprietary base media and treated with a hydrophobic water-repellent finish, this pre-filter offers robust protection. Its advanced media is UV resistant, puncture resistant, and capable of stopping contaminants as small as .005. The material also possesses elasticity, aiding its return to its original shape and position after servicing. This Hydroshield is confirmed to be a direct fit for Injen X-1049 and X-1062 air filters, and may also fit other air filters of similar size. By shielding the filter from contaminants, it helps maintain optimal performance and extends the service life of your air filter, reducing maintenance intervals and overall costs. Key specifications include a 5-inch base, 4.875-inch height, and a 5-inch top dimension. While the Hydroshield's hydrophobic treatment helps repel water, it is important to note that it does not make the air filter waterproof. The product comes with Injen Technology's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
