The Mallory HyFire Ignition Box is a modern capacitive discharge ignition system with a retro design. It supplies multiple sparks at low RPM for improved starting, a clean idle, and quick throttle response. The unit includes a built-in adjustable rev limiter that can be set in 100 RPM increments to prevent over-revving.

The Mallory HyFire Ignition Box combines modern ignition technology with a classic aesthetic. For performance and protection, the HyFire includes an adjustable rev limiter with rotary dials for setting overrev protection in 100 RPM increments, safeguarding your engine from missed shifts or driveline failures. It operates within a voltage range of 10-18 Volts with a negative ground system and is capable of generating 435 Volts of primary voltage and 43,000 Volts of secondary voltage. The ignition produces 95 mJ of spark energy per spark, with a spark series duration of 20° crankshaft rotation, and can achieve up to 15,000 RPM with a 14.4 Volt input. The unit draws a maximum of 0.7 Amps per 1,000 RPM. This ignition box is intended for use on Uncontrolled (Non-Emissions Controlled) Vehicles, including 1965 and older U.S. manufactured California Certified vehicles, 1967 and older U.S. manufactured Federally Certified vehicles, and 1967 and older Foreign manufactured vehicles. It is against the law to install this part on an Emissions Controlled Vehicle, which includes 1966 and newer U.S. manufactured California Certified vehicles, 1968 and newer U.S. manufactured Federally Certified vehicles, and 1968 and newer Foreign manufactured vehicles.
