The NetGain HyPer9 is an AC motor and controller kit designed for electric vehicle conversions. This permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor offers high efficiency and is rated for 120 HP and 173 lb-ft of torque. The system is IP56 sealed and supports a maximum voltage input of 132 volts.

The NetGain HyPer9 is an AC motor and controller kit designed for high-performance electric vehicle conversions. Utilizing a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance design, this motor achieves an IE4+ efficiency rating of 94% without the use of rare earth elements. The kit includes the 9-inch HyPer9 motor, an SME AC-X1 controller, a 35-pin connector and wire harness, a Gigavac GV200-QA contactor, and a 12-volt HV relay. Technical specifications include a rated power of 120 HP, 173 lb-ft of torque, and a maximum operating speed of 8,000 RPM. The unit features an IP56-sealed case with an external heatsink for thermal management and includes integrated encoder and temperature sensors. It measures 13.75 inches in case length and utilizes a B-Face mounting pattern that is Warp compatible. Installation requires consideration of the 120 lb total weight, which may necessitate additional freight shipping. Please note that the SME Dash Display is sold separately and is not included in this kit. Users should refer to available system schematics and configuration guides for proper integration of the controller and sensor systems.
