The Maximum Motorsports Front Coil-Over Kit (COP-2) is engineered to convert your Mustang's front suspension to a coil-over setup, offering enhanced adjustability and performance. This kit is designed to work with Koni Sport SA and DA struts, Tokico Illumina and D-spec struts (note: some modification to the strut body may be required for Tokico), and Strange adjustable struts manufactured before 2017. It also fits Lakewood struts with a 2.2" housing diameter, though modification may be necessary. This conversion kit includes Hypercoil springs, available in various rates to suit your specific Mustang and driving needs. The smaller diameter of the 2.25" springs allows for increased suspension travel. The kit enables easy adjustment of the vehicle's ride height, allowing you to fine-tune your suspension setup. It is designed for use with 1979-2004 Mustangs, specifically those equipped with compatible struts like Koni, Tokico, and Strange. The product is explicitly stated to NOT fit Lakewood struts with a 2.0" diameter strut housing or QA1 struts. Additionally, a note regarding Strange struts manufactured in 2017 or later advises that the powder coating may be too thick for threaded sleeves to install, a potential issue that may require sanding the strut housing or freezing the struts and heating the sleeves as a solution. Installation instructions should be reviewed before ordering.
