Hypereutectic Dome Piston Set, 4.000" Bore, -11.80cc Volume

The Speed-Pro H617CP is a set of eight hypereutectic aluminum dome pistons engineered for Small Block Chevy engines with a 4.000 in. bore. Constructed from an aluminum alloy with 16 percent silicon, these pistons offer enhanced strength and wear resistance. They are manufactured using advanced permanent-mold technology, ensuring a precise fit and tight bore clearances critical for optimal engine performance. The dome piston style includes two valve reliefs and a piston head volume of -11.80cc. These pistons are suitable for a 4.000 in. bore with a 3.480 in. stroke and a 5.700 in. rod length, maintaining stock engine stroke type. The compression height is 1.560 in., with a dome height of 0.275 in. The wrist pin style is press-fit or floating, and they include wrist pin retainers and wrist pins. The pin diameter is 0.928 in., and the piston ring thickness is specified as 5/64 in. x 5/64 in. x 3/16 in. A DurOshield® coated piston skirt is included for added durability. Speed-Pro hypereutectic pistons are an excellent choice for high-performance street applications, bracket racing, and oval track racing. These pistons are sold as a set of 8 and are not remanufactured. The final bore size for proper piston-to-cylinder clearance should be between 4.000 in. and 4.0015 in.
