These pistons are constructed from a durable hypereutectic aluminum alloy, offering enhanced strength, scuff resistance, and seizure protection. Key specifications for the 1476HC piston set include a bore of 4.03 inches, a compression height of 1.540 inches, and a pin diameter of 0.927 inches. Each piston features a dish with a volume of 11.5cc and is designed with four valve reliefs to accommodate various valve sizes and lifts. The piston ring thickness is specified as 5/64" x 5/64" x 3/16". The set is designed for a 3.480-inch stroke and utilizes a 5.700-inch rod length. These pistons are commonly associated with Chevrolet 350ci/5.7L (V8) engines, specifically noted for use in applications from 1969-1990. They serve as a direct replacement for original equipment numbers such as 3991488 and are compatible with Mercruiser V8 350/5.7L engines. The pistons may also be found in other applications, including some Isuzu and GM V6 engines, depending on the specific configuration and bore size.
