IAG Stage 2.5 EJ20 Closed Deck Short Block

The IAG Performance Stage 2.5 EJ20 Subaru Closed Deck Short Block is a robust engine foundation built for enhanced performance and reliability in EJ20 engines. This short block begins with brand new Subaru 2.0L engine case halves, which are then CNC machined and converted to a solid closed deck configuration using IAG's specialized inserts. These inserts include small passages to ensure essential coolant flow to the deck surface. The block undergoes a precise deck plate boring and honing process to 92.5mm using a Sunnen SV-30 automotive cylinder hone, enabling IAG to set custom piston-to-wall clearances tailored to specific needs. Internally, it is assembled with a new Subaru WRX 2.0L crankshaft featuring improved oil passages, paired with ACL or King race main bearings. Forged IAG-Spec JE FSR 92.5mm 2618 pistons with .210" 9310 steel wrist pins are utilized, along with IAG-Spec H-Beam connecting rods and ARP2000 rod bolts, all secured with ACL or King race rod bearings and standard FHI Subaru case bolts. IAG recommends using JE Pro Seal .039 inch head gaskets with this short block. The product comes with installation instructions, warranty information, and break-in documentation.
