IGN1A Smart Coil - 24 Units

The AMP EFI IGN1A Smart Coil, offered here in a case of 24 for bulk savings, is a high-performance ignition solution designed for demanding applications. It provides an impressive 103 mJ of spark energy and a 2.9 ms spark duration, surpassing many capacitive discharge systems without requiring a CDI module. Each coil integrates a 19-amp IGBT ignitor, enabling direct coil-per-plug setups ideal for high-performance engines. It offers seamless compatibility with MS3Pro and MS3X ECUs, and can be adapted for use with MS1/2 systems by employing a 270–330 ohm pull-up resistor. While excellent for sequential and wasted spark configurations, these coils are not recommended for distributor systems due to thermal limitations and a maximum 40% duty cycle. They require HEI-style plug wire boots for proper installation. AMP EFI provides these coils with either a 4-foot flying lead pigtail or a connector and pins kit. It is important to note that exceeding the specified dwell or duty cycle can damage the coil, and no manufacturer warranty is provided as these coils are intended for motorsports use.
