The PerTronix 500 Second Strike Ignition Box is the only ignition system to provide a powerful second spark throughout the entire RPM range. Other multiple spark discharge systems typically revert to one spark at about 3000 RPM. This microcontroller-based ignition supplement works with most inductive type systems, delivering a powerful capacitive discharge second spark after the primary spark, resulting in more complete combustion. At very high RPMs, the increased burn time can reduce misfires, leading to more peak horsepower and torque. It features a unique Crank Angle Offset (CAO) for precise second spark timing adjustments, a built-in digital rev limiter with high-resolution 100 RPM increments, and is legal in all 50 states and Canada (C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-22).
