This coil is a direct replacement for part numbers 06E905115E and 06E905115F, and is often referred to as the 'red top version.' This ignition coil is part of a coil-on-plug system, meaning it is located directly over the spark plug, eliminating the need for traditional spark plug wires. This modern design is utilized in many vehicles for packaging, performance, emissions, and maintenance benefits, offering a virtually maintenance-free ignition system aside from occasional coil or spark plug replacement. Symptoms of a failing ignition coil can include reduced fuel efficiency, decreased power output, and engine misfires.
