The K-Tech 20IDS (20mm Independent Damping System) front fork cartridges are a direct replacement damping system designed to enhance the performance of original equipment front forks, particularly those lacking external compression adjustment. These cartridges feature independent compression and rebound damping controls, with one leg managing rebound and the other compression. The system allows for precise adjustments, offering 30 clicks of independent compression adjustment and 30 clicks of independent rebound adjustment, alongside 18mm of spring preload adjustment. Constructed from high-grade materials, the 20IDS cartridges boast a hard chrome piston rod and components made from aircraft-grade aluminum that are hard anodized for durability and resistance to contamination. This ensures optimum performance and rider confidence, even after rigorous use. The open cartridge damping system utilizes 20mm diameter control pistons with a 14mm diameter aluminum piston rod for accurate damping control. It is important to note that these cartridges are not supplied with springs; K-Tech 3624-300- Series Springs must be ordered separately based on rider weight. Installation of the K-Tech 20IDS cartridges requires specialist tools and techniques, and they are exclusively available through K-Tech authorized dealers who have received training for proper installation to guarantee performance and safety. These cartridges are specifically designed to fit the Yamaha FZ/MT-09, XSR900, and Tracer 9 models from 2021 onwards. The 20IDS cartridges are designed and manufactured in the UK to K-Tech's high standards.
