The Eldor Direct Ignition Coil (part number 12138657273) is engineered to deliver the high voltage required for your BMW's spark plugs to ignite the fuel-air mixture. When misfires occur, a failing ignition coil is a common culprit, and this OE-quality component from Eldor offers a reliable solution. This coil features a durable metal body and is designed as a direct replacement for various BMW engines, including those with N54, N55, N62, and N73 designations. This ignition coil is part of a coil-on-plug system, where each spark plug has its own dedicated coil, eliminating the need for spark plug wires. This modern design is utilized across many vehicles for its benefits in packaging, performance, emissions, and ease of maintenance. Symptoms of a failing ignition coil can include reduced fuel efficiency, decreased power output, and noticeable engine misfires. It is important to note that while this Eldor coil supersedes previous Bosch and Delphi part numbers, it is strongly recommended not to mix manufacturers of ignition coils within the same engine. For optimal performance and reliability, replace all ignition coils with the same brand. The product is manufactured in Turkey and comes with a warranty. Eldor coils do not ship in Eldor-branded packaging as they do not maintain an aftermarket sales division; they will arrive in a white box or a box branded with BBT Technologies. The part number R3516S00100 will be visible on the coil itself.
