Ignitor Conversion Kit

The Pertronix 1544 Ignitor is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed to replace mechanical points in Prestolite IBT-4101 Series 4 Cylinder distributors. It delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs, increasing horsepower, fuel economy, and spark plug life. With a 2:1 improvement over "points" in current fall time for increased coil output, it uses rotating cobalt magnets to trigger a Hall Effect integrated circuit, eliminating points to burn and moving parts to wear out. The epoxy molding makes the module impervious to dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, ensuring stable timing with no adjustments needed. For optimal performance, pair with a Flame Thrower Canister Coil. This Ignitor module is ideal for restorations, easy to install, fits into your original distributor to maintain a stock look, and requires no additional ignition box. It is legal in all 50 states and Canada (C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-22) and is available for most distributors that came with mechanical breaker points, covering AUTOMOTIVE, MARINE, INDUSTRIAL, and AGRICULTURE applications.
