Ignitor Electronic Ignition Kit

This system delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs, aiming to increase horsepower, fuel economy, and spark plug life while improving coil output with a 2:1 improvement over points in current fall time. Its design utilizes rotating cobalt magnets to trigger a Hall effect integrated circuit, eliminating points that can burn and moving parts that wear out. Constructed with epoxy molding, the Pertronix Ignitor module is impervious to dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, ensuring durability. It provides stable timing with no need for adjustments and can trigger most multi-spark CD ignitions. The kit is available for 6 and 12-volt negative and positive ground systems and is legal in all 50 states and Canada. Installation is straightforward, with only two wires to connect and no permanent modifications required. The engine timing remains consistent for extended periods. The Hall effect sensor is robust against distributor shaft wear, dirt, dust, moisture, or vibration, and it retains the stock advance curve, maintaining firing accuracy to within 1/4 degree and reducing spark scatter across the RPM range. This ignition system is specifically for Lucas distributors with models 45DE4 and DM4, and is compatible with MGB (1976-1980), Spitfire (1975-1980), Midget 1500 (1975-1979), and TR7 (1975-1979) vehicles, provided they have the original Lucas Electronic distributors and not Delco units. Note: This system is not for use with solid core wires; resistance core ignition wires or resistor type plugs are required.
