The Pertronix Ignitor II is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed for 1942-1948 Ford 2-bolt front mount distributors with 8-cylinder engines. It features an adaptive dwell control system that maintains peak energy throughout the RPM range for improved engine performance and reduced misfires.

This kit develops up to 4 times more available energy and 2 times more available plug voltage between 3000 and 5000 RPM compared to standard ignition systems. It also compensates for electronic delay by adjusting spark timing and synchronizes peak current with spark timing to reduce heat build-up, while its built-in start retard and energy boost ensure quicker, easier starting.
