Ignitor II Tach Drive Distributor

The PerTronix A2446 is a tach drive distributor with a new Ignitor II ignition system. It is designed for use in 1963-1967 Corvettes with 327, 396, or 427 engines.

The Ignitor II solid-state electronic ignition system uses rotating cobalt magnets on the distributor shaft to trigger an electric switching module, providing up to 35,000 volts for higher output. This system replaces points and condensers, promoting increased plug life, better fuel economy, and stable timing. It fits entirely inside a stock distributor, allowing the use of a stock distributor cap. The Ignitor II features a micro controller that manages the dwell period for optimal spark across the RPM range and enhanced performance.
