The Pertronix 1521 Ignitor is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed for Prestolite IGW-4199C 2-cylinder, counter-clockwise rotation distributors. It delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs, increasing horsepower, fuel economy, and spark plug life. With a 2:1 improvement in current fall time compared to points, it increases coil output. The system utilizes rotating cobalt magnets to trigger a Hall Effect integrated circuit, eliminating points to burn and moving parts to wear out. Its epoxy molding makes the module impervious to dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, ensuring stable timing without the need for adjustments. It is legal in all 50 states and Canada (C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-22) and is ideal for restorations, fitting into original distributors to maintain a stock look without requiring an additional ignition box. The Ignitor is compatible with 12 Volt negative ground systems.
