The Pertronix Ignitor is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed for Prestolite IBT Series (4400/4700) 4-cylinder distributors with 6-volt positive ground systems. It replaces mechanical breaker points with a maintenance-free electronic system. The kit offers improved reliability and performance over points.

This kit features a rotating cobalt magnet that triggers a Hall Effect integrated circuit, eliminating points that can burn or wear out. The module is epoxy-molded to resist dirt, oil, and moisture, ensuring stable timing without adjustments. It delivers twice the voltage to the spark plugs, enhancing horsepower, fuel economy, and spark plug life.
