The Dobinsons IMS 2.2″ Monotube Shocks are engineered for serious off-roaders and overlanders seeking maximum performance and durability. Featuring a 2.2″ (56mm) heavy-duty shock body and an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design, these shocks are built to handle extreme conditions while maintaining consistent damping and comfort. Whether you’re hitting washboard trails, towing, or just cruising the highway, the IMS shocks deliver smooth control, fade resistance, and long-lasting reliability. Key features include a 2.2″ (56mm) shock body for increased oil volume and cooling efficiency, and a monotube IFP design that separates oil and gas for consistent damping. They utilize a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (50mm or 60mm) with a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend life. The 3mm thick DOM body tubing is honed to tight tolerances for strength. The EDP coating provides corrosion resistance and long-term durability. These shocks are designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement for easy fitment. They are fully re-buildable and re-valvable, and are engineered with damping tuned for comfort, control, and off-road capability. The product is noted for zero shock fade in all terrains with a full load and has an enormous oil capacity. The sealing system is a heavy-duty 3 Stage FKM HNBR for reliability.
