Description

The Dobinsons IMS 2.2″ Monotube Strut (IMS43-50783) is engineered for demanding off-road and overlanding conditions, prioritizing performance and durability. Its robust construction includes a 2.2″ (56mm) heavy-duty shock body, providing increased oil volume for efficient cooling, and a monotube Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design that separates oil and gas for consistent damping performance. This strut features a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (50mm or 60mm) and a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band, which work together to reduce friction and extend the lifespan of the component. The 3mm thick DOM body tubing is honed to tight tolerances for enhanced strength, while the adjustable spring seat is crafted from T6 6061 aluminum. The strut is finished with an EDP coating for superior corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability in harsh environments. Its engineered damping is specifically tuned to provide a balance of comfort, control, and off-road capability, promising zero shock fade even under extreme conditions or with a full load. The design allows for a direct, bolt-on replacement, simplifying installation. This product is listed with fitment for Mitsubishi Pajero V7 (International) and Montero (USA) models from 2000 onwards.
