Description

The Dobinsons 2.6″ IMS Monotube Shock absorber is engineered for serious off-roaders and overlanders demanding maximum performance and durability. This shock features a robust 2.6″ (66mm) heavy-duty shock body designed for increased oil volume and efficient cooling, contributing to its fade resistance even under full load and in harsh terrains. The internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design ensures consistent damping performance across various conditions, from washboard trails to highway cruising. Constructed with a race-inspired, high-flow CNC-machined 6061 billet alloy piston (50mm bore) and a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances, these shocks are built for strength and superior performance. The heavy-duty, 3-stage FKM HNBR sealing system provides ultimate reliability, while the EDP coating offers corrosion resistance for long-term durability. Designed, developed, and tested in Australia by Dobinsons Spring & Suspension, these shocks are built to withstand extreme conditions worldwide. They offer a significant increase in performance over standard shock absorbers, addressing the common issues of shock fade and inability to cope with additional vehicle weight. The direct, bolt-on replacement design ensures easy fitment. Note that this shock absorber will NOT work with vehicles equipped with HBMC (Hydraulic Body Motion Control).
