Description

The Dobinsons IMS 2.6″ Monotube Shocks are engineered for serious off-roaders and overlanders, prioritizing maximum performance and durability. These shocks feature a robust 2.6″ (66mm) heavy-duty shock body designed for increased oil volume and improved cooling efficiency, contributing to their fade resistance. The monotube IFP design effectively separates oil and gas, ensuring consistent damping performance across various conditions. Key components include a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (50mm or 60mm) for superior handling, a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend life, and a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances for strength. The shocks are finished with an EDP coating for corrosion resistance and long-term durability, with engineered damping tuned for comfort, control, and off-road capability. This shock absorber is specifically designed for the Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series (1990-1997) and Lexus LX450 models requiring a 6″ lift. It can serve as a direct, bolt-on replacement for stock shocks or be paired with 6″ lifted coil springs. The shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, and feature a heavy-duty single-piece lower leg and a multi-stage FKM HNBR sealing system for enhanced reliability.
