The Dobinsons IMS 2.6″ Monotube Shocks are designed for off-road enthusiasts and overlanders who demand superior performance and rugged durability. These shocks feature a substantial 2.6-inch (66mm) heavy-duty shock body, which increases oil volume for improved cooling efficiency and fade resistance. The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design ensures consistent damping performance by separating oil and gas, even under extreme conditions. Key features include a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (available in 50mm or 60mm) for enhanced performance, and a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and prolong the shock's lifespan. The 3mm thick DOM body tubing is honed to tight tolerances for strength, while the adjustable spring seat is crafted from T6 6061 aluminum. These shocks are engineered with tuned damping to provide a balance of comfort, control, and off-road capability. They are a direct, bolt-on replacement, simplifying installation. The listed product is specifically designed for Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series models from 1990-1997, often for vehicles with a 4-5" lift. Other fitments are available for Toyota Tundra (2022+) and other specific applications.
