The Dobinsons IMS 2.6″ Monotube Shocks are engineered for demanding off-road and overlanding applications, prioritizing performance and durability. These shocks feature a robust 2.6-inch (66mm) heavy-duty shock body and an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design. This configuration is built to withstand extreme conditions while ensuring consistent damping and a comfortable ride across various terrains. Key features include a high-flow CNC-machined race piston, available in 50mm or 60mm bore sizes, for superior performance. The shocks utilize a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances and are equipped with a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend life. For reliability and longevity, they incorporate a heavy-duty 3-stage FKM HNBR sealing system and an EDP coating for corrosion resistance. The monotube IFP design separates oil and gas, ensuring consistent damping and preventing fade even under heavy loads or in challenging environments. These shocks are designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement, simplifying installation. They offer increased oil capacity and cooling efficiency due to the larger shock body, contributing to fade resistance on washboard trails, during towing, or highway cruising.
