Description

The Dobinsons IMS 2.6″ Monotube Shocks are designed for demanding off-road and overlanding applications, prioritizing performance and durability. These shocks feature a substantial 2.6″ (66mm) heavy-duty shock body, which increases oil volume and enhances cooling efficiency, crucial for sustained performance under extreme conditions. The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design ensures consistent damping by separating oil and gas, preventing aeration and fade, even during aggressive driving or towing. Constructed with a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances, these shocks offer robust strength. Key internal components include a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (available in 50mm or 60mm) for superior responsiveness and a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend service life. The EDP coating offers excellent corrosion resistance for long-term durability. These shocks are engineered with specific damping characteristics tuned to balance comfort, control, and off-road capability. They are designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement for easy installation. The product is specifically designed to fit Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU models from 2018 onwards and suits vehicles with 2-3.5 inches of lift. These shocks are sold in pairs and are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, offering long-term serviceability.
