The Dobinsons IMS 2.6″ Monotube Strut is meticulously engineered for demanding off-road adventures and overlanding expeditions, prioritizing both maximum performance and unwavering durability. It features a robust 2.6-inch (66mm) heavy-duty shock body, which enhances oil volume and cooling efficiency, crucial for sustained performance in extreme conditions. The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) monotube design ensures consistent damping by effectively separating oil and gas, preventing fade even under strenuous use. Constructed with premium materials, this strut boasts a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances for exceptional strength and longevity. The high-flow CNC-machined race piston, available in 50mm or 60mm sizes, contributes to superior performance. The strut is also EDP-coated for superior corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term reliability. This strut is designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement, simplifying installation. It is fully rebuildable and re-valvable, allowing for customization and extended service life. The engineered damping is specifically tuned to provide a balanced blend of comfort, control, and off-road capability, making it suitable for washboard trails, towing, and highway driving. The strut seat height should be set at 231mm (9.07 inches) from the bushing eye to the spring seat.
