IMS Monotube Rear Shock Absorber

The Dobinsons IMS Monotube 2" shock absorber (IMS43-50807) is engineered for serious off-roaders and overlanders seeking maximum performance and durability in their 4WD vehicles. This rear shock absorber is built to withstand extreme conditions, offering consistent damping and improved comfort where traditional twin-tube shocks might fade. Its monotube IFP design separates oil and gas, ensuring reliable performance even under heavy loads or prolonged use on washboard roads and corrugations. Constructed with robust materials, the IMS shock absorber boasts a 3mm thick DOM body tubing honed to tight tolerances for strength. It features a large 2.2″ (56mm) shock body diameter, which, combined with a high-flow CNC-machined race piston (available in 50mm or 60mm bore sizes), provides superior heat dissipation and precise damping control. The shock also includes a carbon-fiber/PTFE composite wear band to reduce friction and extend its service life, along with an adjustable spring seat made from T6 6061 aluminum. Designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement, this shock absorber is tuned with vehicle-specific valving for optimal performance right out of the box.
