The Dobinsons 2.2" IMS Monotube Shock (IMS45-50646) is a direct, bolt-on replacement rear shock absorber pair designed to significantly improve your vehicle's performance and handling. Engineered and tested in Australia, these shocks are built to withstand extreme conditions, from the Australian outback heat to Russian winters, ensuring zero shock fade even when the vehicle is heavily loaded. They feature a robust construction including a heavy-duty single-piece lower leg, a race-inspired 50mm bore CNC 6061 billet alloy piston for superior off-road handling, and a 56mm/2.2” body series for increased oil capacity. Built for durability and reliability, the IMS45-50646 boasts a heavy-duty 3-stage FKM HNBR sealing system and EDP surface protection for corrosion resistance. Furthermore, these shocks are fully rebuildable and re-valvable, allowing for customization and extended service life. The design aims to overcome the common issues of shock fade and inability to cope with additional weight experienced with original equipment shock absorbers. This particular shock absorber is designed to fit the 2014+ Nissan Frontier and Navara D23 NP300 models with a coil spring rear end, as well as the 2018+ Mercedes X-class. Some sources suggest this part may not fit all entered vehicles, indicating that precise fitment should always be confirmed.
