Inconel Exhaust Valve

The Supertech Inconel Exhaust Valve is engineered for demanding turbo, supercharged, and endurance racing applications, particularly in Audi and Volkswagen 1.8T 5-valve engines. These valves are made from Inconel/Nimonic alloy, a nickel-based superalloy renowned for its superior high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and durability under extreme conditions. Each valve features a one-piece forged construction for maximum strength and a non-magnetic composition. The wafer portion is magnetically friction-welded and hardened to a minimum of 52 HRC, ensuring robust performance. The valve stem receives Supertech's 'Superfinish' treatment, resulting in a surface roughness approximately one-third that of standard valves, which contributes to improved sealing and reduced friction. These Inconel valves offer significant benefits for modern turbo-charged engines by providing a substantial reduction in valve head temperatures. This cooler operation not only enhances material strength and durability but also grants tuners greater flexibility and a wider range of spark timing advances, allowing for optimized engine performance. Additionally, they offer an average weight reduction of 10% compared to stock valves.
