The Genuine BMW high-pressure fuel injector, part number 13538616079, is the OE (Original Equipment) component for N54, N63, and N74 BMW engines. Previously manufactured by VDO, the specialized factory producing these injectors is now known as Vitesco, making it the current OE supplier to BMW. These injectors are manufactured in Italy and represent the "known good" version, having undergone numerous revisions to reach the stable Index 12 design. A faulty fuel injector can significantly impact engine performance, leading to issues such as rough running, misfires, and diagnostic trouble codes related to drivetrain malfunctions. Replacing a failed injector is often the only solution, especially in high-output turbocharged applications.
