The Forge Induction Kit is engineered for the Mk5 Golf R32, featuring a PiperCross high-flow foam cone filter within a carbon fiber composite enclosed canister. This ensures cooler air temperatures and prevents power reduction typically caused by hot air from within the engine compartment. Forge Motorsport has conducted dyno testing, demonstrating gains of up to 10 peak wheel horsepower on Stage 2 tuned vehicles when compared to the stock airbox and filter. While actual power gains may vary based on modifications and tuning levels, this kit promises a significant improvement over the original air box. Installation may require disconnecting a noise resonator present on some models' air intake pipes; this modification will not negatively impact the induction kit's performance. Please note that the Pipercross filter itself is excluded from the Forge lifetime warranty. It is crucial to avoid overtightening the hose clamp connecting the filter to its counterpart, as this can lead to part crushing, fitment issues, or performance problems. The recommended torque setting for this hose clamp is 2-2.4Nm.
